Laura’s energy, Kiran’s creativity and Jenn’s organization blend to create Pretty Little Details.
Jenn’s love for designing events started ten years ago while working at her hometown flower shop. Her love for color, texture and pattern are not just about aesthetics but also about the reaction and feeling they inspire in others. That passion coupled with her year-long assistantship with a prestigious North Jersey wedding planner is what led her to establish Pretty Little Details. In order to build a unique brand, Jenn teamed up with the ‘best-of-the-best’. Her colleagues not only share her passion for weddings and events but also have their own unique skill-set along with varied experiences and contexts from which to find inspiration.
She has planned hundreds of events ranging in size and scope for a large university. With Rutgers’ degrees in business economics and a Master’s degree in human resource management, her background really lends itself perfectly for a people-oriented business. She’s also a certified wedding and event consultant through Longevity’s Wedding Planning Institute (LWPI) and is a member of the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC).
Jenn is constantly drawing inspiration from her hobbies and the things she loves: orchids (or pretty much any flower) for inspiration boards, the beach for constantly changing color combinations and different wines for perfect dinner party pairings! She loves weekend get-a-ways to re-energize, she’s exploring her inner crafter and she’s never without a checklist…ever. For PLD, Jenn represents organization, efficiency and dependability. Her goal is to provide clients with piece of mind throughout the planning process and especially the day of!
Laura Lark Mignano
Somewhere between interning at an event management company and being the go-to planner among her family and friends, Laura realized she really could mix business with pleasure! Lucky for PLD that she’s also got six years of corporate event planning under her belt. Her experience includes everything from black tie galas and donor recognition dinners for a few hundred to fundraisers and wine tastings for a few dozen. Laura has a passion for the arts as her two year history at a large theatre indicates. She’s well versed in vendor contract agreements and loves to support local businesses whenever possible. Laura believes local mom-and-pop shops aren’t just about the best deals and supporting the local economy; they also offer some of the most unique products, have personalized customer service and really pay attention to detail…something we know a little bit about too.
The past two years have kept her busy as she planned the weddings of four friends. Not only did she take the stress out of the planning process, she made it fun for the couples. Laura works tirelessly doing what she loves; helping to create memorable occasions for all of life’s celebrations. Though her work ethic is non-stop, the biggest compliment she can get is “I didn’t even know you were there!” She has a knack for reading couples and helping them pinpoint their own wedding “tradition.” A graduate of Rutgers University with a BA in Communications, Laura is also a member of the Association of Bridal Consultants.
All this experience and know-how aside, Laura is all personality…she loves to laugh and although her enthusiasm is contagious no one can keep up with her! She has an unhealthy obsession with animals, always makes sure to have fresh flowers in the house and believes you should always have a roll of duct tape handy. Always. Laura believes that each event should be a true extension of the couple. For PLD clients her goal is to make sure the bride and groom laugh and learn through the entire planning process.
Kiran Mala Bardis
Creativity is Kiran’s passion…from event planning to personalized stationary design. She’s been involved with crafts since she was a child making clothes for her dolls and herself. From paper crafts to painting and sewing, Kiran loves the sense of fulfillment you get from creating something new!
With a degree in Journalism and Mass Media and stints at MTV, as a radio DJ and production for independent films, she’s certainly been able to explore her creative side. Kiran also has her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology which explains why she’s such a people person and thrives on the “personal connection.” For this licensed wedding and event planner (LWPI), the last ten years of her career include planning and producing events for a private university and two state institutions. She’s a self proclaimed perfectionist and she’s a firm believer that there’s always room for improvement and room to learn.
In her spare time she loves all things vintage, international travel, antiquing, and turning thrift store finds into unique treasure. Kiran is one half of M-K Stampaway, a paper stationary and card company and is proud to offer PLD customers everything from save-the-date announcements to menu cards to wedding invitations and beyond…all custom to the couples’ taste. She’s excited about showcasing her fun, creative, one-of-a-kind style for PLD clients!
