Congrats, you got your dress… now time to accessorize!!
Rule of thumb with jewelry; if you have statement earrings, skip the necklace and if you want some extra bling, add a bracelet. On the flip side, if you have a statement necklace look for more delicate stud earrings.
Annabellagio is a great site to help navigate your way to finding the perfect accessories.
Statement necklaces are great with strapless or sweetheart necklines… just remember the length of the necklace will draw attention to where it sits on your chest.
Statement earrings are great, but make sure before any purchase to try them on. I’ve heard from a lot of brides and many bridesmaids who regret buying statement earrings to go with their outfit because of the weight. There are tons of beautiful statement earrings available that are lightweight and won’t weigh down your ears. A good idea would be to make sure before purchasing you can return the earrings and then wear them around for a day with your hair in a similar style. Another factor with wearing earrings is they can get caught on your hair. I worked with a bride who had on chandelier earrings that kept getting caught in her low loose bun. The earrings looked great but she was upset because some of her pictures and candid’s one or both of her earrings are caught in her hairstyle.
Accessorizing your dress is tremendous amounts of fun, always remember to try everything on and together first before your big day!
